In the latest episode of our Founders Series, we sit down with Iannique Renaud, founder of  Renaud Air and investor of smartTrade, a Canadian cryptocurrency exchange. He shared his experience regarding exiting Renaud Air.

“You need to pick the wars that you can win and so my decision was to exit.” said Mr. Renaud “But luckily I hadn't even started to search, a larger hygiene company approached me."

Renaud stated that although he was lucky finding a buyer for his company, his M&A process was also a learning experience as he negotiated with bigger, more seasoned deal makers.

Regarding LEXIT, Renaud enthusiastically commented: "I know LEXIT is kind of setting up this program on the blockchain. I absolutely wish I would have had some easier guidance on what the steps were as opposed to just experience everything without knowing what is going to happen next."
